Undergraduate Research Exposition

The Undergraduate Research Exposition provides students with the opportunity to work with faculty to present their research to an engaged audience on campus. This annual expo features student poster, oral, performance, and exhibit presentations.

In addition, enjoy exploring the student research projects featured from the 2020 Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP)

Graduate Research Symposium

The Graduate Research Symposium highlights graduates’ research poster presentations, oral presentations, the academic paper competition, and the 3-minute Thesis competition.

This annual symposium provides graduate students with the opportunity to present their research to an engaged audience. 

2021 Featured Presentations

The 2021 Research and Scholarship Conference theme is Sustainability and Progress in the Midst of a Pandemic.

The Research & Scholarship Conference at Western Carolina University is made up of the Undergraduate Expo and the Graduate Research Symposium. This showcase academic event is hosted by The Office of the Provost, The Graduate School and Research, and the Honors College.
